Death Eaters
The Current State of Death Eaters
Lord Voldemort leads the Death Eaters. He does not remain in one place for any extended period of time. Voldemort communicates with Death Eaters via messengers, owl and by summoning them to him.
Death Eaters are all employed at the Ministry of Magic. It is expected of them to contribute to the Ministry and Voldemort's goals. Death Eaters' movements are watched carefully. Voldemort monitors who they speak with and who they are seen with. Any relationship he does not approve of is stopped.
Death Eaters are given assigned plots through Lord Voldemort. (A player should understand that any owl/patronus sent to their character through Voldemort is coming directly from the mods.) The assignment will include instructions on what needs to be accomplished, what other characters are involved and when it needs to be accomplished. (A follow up email from the mod account will apprise all parties involved of the outcome. If there is a duel proposed, a coin toss will determine the winner. All parties involved are expected to play out the result determined by the coin toss.)
If a character not listed as a Death Eater wishes to be marked, they must adhere to the following procedure. Only characters listed under the Death Eater category on the Available Character page are exempt from this procedure. Being a Slytherin Pureblood does not automatically grant you a Dark Mark. First, the character must be a known supporter of Voldemort. The character must contact a Death Eater and express interest in being marked. Voldemort will conduct several inquires into the character's past as well as conduct surveillance on the character. Finally, a Death Eater (not the one originally contacted) will meet with the character and discuss what is expected of them. If the Death Eater member approves of the character, Voldemort will decide if they will be Marked or not. If, at any time, Voldemort does not approve of the candidate, they will either be jailed, killed or oblivated.
Death Eaters are not to speak of anything related to Voldemort outside the Death Eaters, they will suffer punishment determined by Voldemort.
